I still can’t believe it. In just three months, we are going to be parents! My mind is spinning with all of the things I need to do to prepare for our next big adventure. Nursery. Registry. Hospital tour. Childbirth classes. But now, in week 28 of my pregnancy, I just want to stop time, fly somewhere warm, and enjoy this moment, together, because everything is about to change.
I hear my husband’s footsteps tiptoeing behind me. Is he going to give me a hard time for looking at vacation destinations? “Alright, you caught me,” I looked over smiling at him. “I want to take a vacation to relax, just the two of us.”
“Somewhere warm,” I added.
“A beach perhaps.”
“And somewhere with ice cream. I really need to be close to a daily scoop (or two) of strawberry ice cream,” I continued my argument.
Why is he just staring at me? Is he laughing?
What’s that behind his back?
“It’s a good thing we know each other so well! Pack your passport and bathing suit, I just booked us a babymoon to our home resort, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Tuscany Village,” he responded with a big smirk on his face, showing me the resort pool on his laptop. “And don’t worry, there’s a full-sized refrigerator that will be stocked with strawberry ice cream.”
I think I just felt the baby kick with excitement. We’ve got a future traveler on our hands!
